What is your why? Why do you wake up every morning and do this work?

With unwavering determination, I am committed to empowering patients to comprehend and manage the underlying causes of their health conditions. I firmly believe in the transformative potential of comprehensive root-cause medicine, complemented by lifestyle modifications and integrative techniques. By bridging the gap between conventional medicine, root-cause medicine, and lifestyle modifications, including comprehensive diagnostic testing, nutritional choices, mindset, sleep, physical activity, and integrative and holistic approaches, I aim to deliver transformative care. With a background spanning various healthcare disciplines, including ER, oncology, cardiology, and family medicine, I have witnessed firsthand how the art and science of functional medicine can profoundly improve lives. Join me on this remarkable journey towards optimal health and well-being.

If you could give one piece of advice to every single person in the world about their health, what would that be?

An ounce of prevention is more than a pound of cure. My father would always tell me this when I was young, but I only realized the impact of this message when I became a patient and a practitioner. I would elaborate on the power of this statement to my patients when I have his/her listening ear. At times, one’s health is not truly valued until sickness comes. The initial statement has a powerful message because it states that preventative strategies and addressing the root causes are the best approaches and mindsets to develop to demonstrate value in one’s “health.”

If you could snap your fingers and be anywhere in the world, where would that be?

Two places – One is a vacation spot with my family (wife, my 5-year-old daughter, and 2-year-old son). The vacation that comes to mind is our memorable European trip to London UK and Paris, France. The other place I enjoy spending time is on my health, particularly in the Martial Arts/Kickboxing Gym, which I call my “happy place”

What are you reading? What is your favorite podcast?

I am currently rotating three books right now, which I enjoy reading. The three books include “Toxic: Heal Your Body” by Dr. Neil Nathan, “Eat to Beat Disease” by Dr. William Li, and “Ending the Eczema Pandemic.” by Dr. Ana-Maria and John Temple. My two favorite podcasts are hosted by two functional medicine practitioners – “The Doctor’s Pharmacy” by Dr. Mark Hyman and “The Ultimate Human” by Gary Brecka.
